NATURE & CLAY: Create a vessel

  • Nurture Saddleworth 23 Sam Road, Diggle Oldham United Kingdom (map)

Explore meaningful connection to nature through sensory explorations, meditations and creating with clay with Emily Seville Studio.

Spend the afternoon renewing your connection to the earth and yourself through a blend of creativity and meditation, and create a Vessel with Emily Seville Studio.

In this workshop we will mindfully connect to the local natural landscape through; a walk in nature, guided meditation, and gathering natural materials. Emily will guide you in exploring an intuitive and mindful approach to making and teach you how to create vessels using grounding hand-building techniques. After the workshop, your pieces will be fired and glazed in a colour of your choice and returned to you at your convenience.

This workshop is beginner friendly and you need no prior experience of working with clay to attend, Emily will guide and support you throughout the workshop to ensure you have a finished piece you are happy with.

t&c’s: Cancellation can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop (this is due to the preparation of materials for each participant)

Who’s leading your workshop?

“Working with clay, I feel a physical, emotional and spiritual connection to the earth. Use of clay in my practice nurtures an intimate relationship with the earth - connecting to the physical material and the knowledge and stories held within it.”
