Cancellation policy:
IN STUDIO CLASSES 12 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY: Those pre-booking drop-in IN STUDIO classes or using class passes may cancel a pre-booked class up to 12 hours before the class start-time without penalty. It is important to note that all pre-bookings are considered confirmed 12 hours prior to the class start time. At this point it is no longer possible to cancel your pre-booking and either you will receive NO refund the relevant number of credits will be deducted from your pass even if you do not attend.


ONLINE CLASSES 2 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY: Those pre-booking drop-in ONLINE classes or using class passes may cancel a pre-booked class up to 2 hours before the class start-time without penalty. HOW TO BOOK

 1. Click on the book a class button and sign up for the class you would like to participate in- studio classes are £9 (10 class pass £80) and live streams £6 (10 class pass £50)

2. For studios classes, please arrive 15-20 before start of class and for live streams, more details below.

3. You will receive a link via email to join the Zoom class (links will be sent 2 hours before the class), click on the link when you would like to get yourself set up for the class. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to join the class before it starts.

4. If you are using a mobile/ tablet you will need to download the zoom app before hand.

5. Get yourself all set up for your class and you are ready to go! We will be here to help you through it as much as possible.

 

COVID-19 SAFTEY:

We are so delighted to welcome you all back to Nurture and are so looking forward to teaching in person again but as we understand there are some who cannot attend the studio or do not quite feel ready to return, all of our classes are also streamed live via Zoom.

Your safety and comfort is our greatest priority so for those attending the studio, we have policies in place to ensure social distancing and careful hygiene measures.  Please read the guidelines below so you know what to expect but please don’t worry, we will be there to support you every step of the way so you don’t need to remember everything!

-Please book online prior to class to ensure non-contact payment 

-Try to use a toilet before you arrive

-Only bring along what you need for class (we do not have lockers or changing facilities)

-Please bring your own mat and props if possible. Mats are available to hire for £1 and will be thoroughly disinfected before & after use. 

-Please arrive 15-20 minutes before class and wait in the stairwell at areas marked with white tape

-Shelagh or Sophie will be there to greet you and invite you to enter one at a time

-Your temperature will be taken with a non-contact thermometer before you enter to ensure everybody’s safety

-You can hang your coat in the hall and we’ll direct you upstairs

-Please sanitise your hands at the station at the top of the stairs before you enter

-We will direct you to a mat space, marked with white tape and you can place your shoes nearby (please do not enter reception)

-When all students are settled, you will be offered a chance to use the bathroom before class begins

-At the end of class, we will ask you to leave one at a time

-Please sanitise your hands again as you leave

-And breathe – but only through your nose 😉

We know lots of measures can seem daunting but we hope they reassure you that it is our aim to keep you safe. We have thought carefully about how to do so without compromising comfort and relaxation during class and thank you all for your cooperation.

If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, have knowingly been exposed to someone symptomatic or have recently returned from foreign travel and are still within the self-isolation period of 10-14 days – please practice self care and make sure you are well before returning to Nurture.

Class Descriptions

EMBODIED VINYASA FLOW with Sophie: Monday 7PM & Wednesday 6.15PM

Movement is magic, movement is sacred. In this yoga class you will be guided through a creative vinyasa flow sequence that allows expression to emerge. That encourages a deep authentic connection to yourself and your vessel. Embodied flow is the true connection to your own body. This yoga class is not about labels, it is not about restricting yourself to what you think ‘yoga’ should look like. It is a time to trust your body that it knows the way. It is a time of growth, freedom and expression, tied in with lots of yummy yoga and playfulness. Lets adventure together.

Suitable for all yogis.

HATHA YOGA with Shelagh: Tuesday 7PM

Hatha is the foundation stone of yoga – union of mind, body and breath. It guides us gently deeper into ourselves, towards our true nature to find balance and embrace our connection to all of life.  Slow, passive movement rising to meditative sequences and steady, progressive postures blended with soothing breathing and meditation practices guide you to stillness in motion. Ancient wisdom blended with the wonders of nature create a sense of connection to your own true spirit, the natural world and the incredible healing powers of yoga for mind & body – food for the soul!

These classes are inspired by nature for nature so 10% of profits are donated to RSPB Dove Stone via The MindfulWild Project

RESTORATIVE YOGA with Sophie: Wednesday 7.30PM

This class will be about complete relaxation and an authentic connection to the self. The whole focus of this class will be an intimate and deep connection to our bodies, allowing ourselves to be nourished my the wonders of restorative yoga. We will use lots of yoga props (bolsters, blankets and blocks) to make sure our bodies are in complete comfort and supported throughout this yoga session.

In this incredibly busy world we live in, we often forget the transnational power of slowing down and taking time out for ourselves.
This class is truly a gift to yourself, a chance to reset, recharge and rejuvenate. It is the chance to come home to ourselves and offer that deep restorative hug e all need.

This class is suitable for all yogis


For this class you will need to bring your own props, a blanket, mat and yoga bolster, if you do not have a yoga bolster (its completely okay, lots of people don’t) you can use a pillow form your bed.

GENTLE HATHA with Shelagh: Thursday 9.30AM

This class is suitable for all – complete newcomers to yoga as well those seeking a soothing practice with slow, gentle movement to leave you feeling completely relaxed. Easing you in with calming breathing practices and passive motion, rising steadily through movement meditation to gentle postures & sequences – allowing you to move into stillness. All blended seamlessly with the philosophical roots of ancient yoga wisdom, this class is a soothing retreat for mind, body and soul! Encouraged to move in a way that feels right for you, open to everyone and be warned – you will leave feeling wonderful!

SWEET SLOW FLOW with Sophie: Thursday 7PM

Sweet slow flow is delicious movement that allows our bodies to PURR with contentment. This class will be natural, gentle, flow like yoga movements that encourages organic growth and blossoming to take place. Sometimes the world moves at 100PMH and we can get caught in that whirlwind. This practice realigns us to our energetic body, slowing everything down so we can appreciate the here and now. Appreciating how special and incredible we are.

MORNING MANDALA with Josie: Friday 7AM

A dynamic flow focused on finding the connection between your practice and the elements of Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Taking inspiration from nature and its spiral patterns, exploring circular movements we will move our bodies around all corners of the mat. Consciously linking our breath and movement together to cultivate a deeper sense of calm; a moving meditation.

GOOD MORNING FLOW with Sophie: Saturday 9.30AM

Every morning is a new chapter. A sacred time that we can devote to ourselves. A time that can leave us feeling rejuvenated and ready for the day. Wake up wiggle and flow is this time. The time to dedicate to yourself. In this yoga class we will marry together an awakening Vinyasa yoga flow with natural free flowing movement. We will turn into our bodies and take the time to listen to what arises, opening ourselves to a world of wiggles and yoga flows.
